Idyllwild Ride - Nov 23, 2008
The holidays are here and with all the stress and the week of rain it was time to get out on the open road and have some fun. After meeting up on Ortega Hwy and the I-5 in OC, we hit the road through Cleveland National forest. It was just the beginning of a great adventure and we were already surrounded with excellent scenery and fun twisty roads. We made our first stop at Hell’s Kitchen Motorsports Restaurant and grabbed a bite to eat before heading to Idyllwild in the San Bernardino National Forest. We arrived in Idyllwild early in the afternoon and we couldn’t have asked for better weather as we enjoyed warm sunshine, cool crisp mountain air and not so much as a cloud in the sky. We quickly found a little place called The Lumber Mill to kick back and enjoy the afternoon sun. This town is a gem and if you haven’t been there, it is a must stop! After a couple hours we were ready to hit the road again and enjoy as much daylight as we could. A few hours later we arrived at our last destination, The Hideout Saloon. We stretched our legs and reminisced about the day’s adventure before parting ways back to the real world. What a great time!
To our new found friends that joined us from Minnesota and Texas…Live long and ride often.
