VMC Laughlin Ride - Feb 6-8, 2009
Every year the Victory Motorcycle Club in the SW region of the US gets together in Laughlin, NV. This three day event starts by ridding to Laughlin on a Friday, hang in out for a group ride on Saturday and finishes the day with a well planned banquet Saturday night.
This particular weekend had a rain forecast for all three days but that did not stop us from having a great time. Our group started in LA and traveled up the 15 FWY through the rain into Victorville where we stopped to eat. From that point on we traveling the scenic historic RTE 66. The rain clouds loomed above our heads, but the rest of the ride was mostly dry. We arrived late in the afternoon, checked in to the hotel and headed to dinner.
On Saturday morning we gathered for a ride Oatman. Not everyone wanted to go play in the rain but I came on this trip to ride. So I was very pleased that more than a dozen guys and gals were up for the adventure. It rained like crazy for the entire ride but our ride leader Tom kept a good pace and getting wet was the worst thing that happened all day. Who really cares about getting wet anyways. We hung around Oatman for a couple of hours and road back to the hotel to take part in the banquet.
The banquet was well organized and it was great to meet so many Victory owners. Thank you to Sydney, Tom, Patty and everyone else that helped to bring this trip together. I had a great time and look forward to the next chance to ride with all of you again. I hope you all enjoy this photo gallery.
